Chrstmas Blog 2010

So I wake up Christmas morning...super duper excited because I refuse to not be excited.

(sorry for lack of color.  Saved the file wrong and didn't feel like re-drawing)

I scurry downstairs in a flurry of girlish excitement and a plethera of expectation.

Then I see it...like a star amoungst assorted fodder...the present!  My present!!

I pounce like a wild cat and begin to tear into its papery flesh like it wasn't papery flesh and my existence depended on the death and destruction of the present as it is presented to me.

I must see it's insides!

In a flurry of papery remnants I stare...finally after weeks of anticipation.  After months of preparation and a year of fighting the urge to punch people in the throat and just be the nasty person we all wish we could be, it is time!

Finally there it is....

And that concludes the worst Christmas scenario ever!!
Here's hoping mine and yours turns out better!

-------------------------------------------------

No posts next week, as it is Christmas week which means many many drinks will be available for me to steal!  Hope you all have a great one!

*EDIT* Also just realized my e-mail address in the contacts page was wrong.  I know, HEEL-larious!  I changed it to the right one, so if you sent a message and I haven't responded that's why, I never got it.

Let's blame the ghost of Christmas past!

BOOKS!!

Okay so this is a special post because I felt that all of you should know this.

....I don't read much.

They don't do much for me.

Don't get me wrong, I CAN read!  I actually love reading, there's just something inside of me that stops me from it.

I am also extremely, and I mean unfairly picky when it comes to books. I've started soo many books, gotten to the third or fourth chapter then lost all interest in finding out how it turns out.
My biggest casualty of this pickyness (and biggest regret) is Harry Potter.

I don't know why, they're really well written, and obviously entertaining. I just lost interest.

Perhaps it is because I am a very visual person, perhaps this lack of read is from my lack of focus.

Who knows.

Really wish I could overcome this picky, fickle, lack of read.

ALso because almost always the book is a million times better than any visual media could show.  *ahem* DaVinci Code *cough, cough...HACK...THrowup! EWE*

So yeah...that is my deep dark secret.  Hope we can still be friends.

Sky Math

Today I saw math in the sky!

I know, I almost don't believe it, but it's true!

MATH!! I shit you not!! It was full on math!

So I'm driving home from Physical Therapy and a little visit with a friend at Starbucks, totally expecting nothing but a boring drive home.  I'm drivin', mindin' my own business, when up in the sky what do my eyes doth see? A right triangle!!
A perfectly made right triangle like I was back in sixth grade looking up at the blackboard (or was it a whiteboard...whoe nelly, I'm aging myself.)
If that wasn't shit crazy all in itself what happened next will make you go cross-eyed and run screaming into the woods!

The right triangle, remember the one I was telling about earlier?  Well it morphed, right there in front of me!

It turned into and OBTUSE TRIANGLE!! Two maths for the price of one!

So how was this amazing feat of nature done? Well, I think it was actually only one third natural responsibility.

It was two airplanes and a star what done it!  Although I'm not sure exactly which dot in the sky was a star or a plane...so it could have been three planes and my brain didn't process such a thing.

Basically I sat in the car staring at the sky like an idiot, (when I should have been looking at the road like an idiot), making ooo and aaaa noises and screaming to myself if I'd seen what I'd just seen or not.

This amazing view was followed by nothing great.  Just a boring drive home where nothing neat happened.

Unless you count seeing a dead possum neat...but I see those all the time...so it wasn't.

And Here We Are

Welcome welcome one and all!!!

Aren't you the lucky ones!  You've stumbled into the land of Fortuitous Contingency!
I'm so jealous!

And because I'm hoping we'll be together for awhile I find that the best way to start such a relationship is to introduce ourselves!

Hello.
I'm Nanas.

ONWARD!!
